Within this monster's hollow shell lies a tumorous mass of ever-growing brain tissue, utilized not as a cognitive organ but as a breeding ground for its insidious "droneworms", a single swarm of which reaches maturity and leaves its body on the night of every full moon. The majority of droneworms will perish in the wilderness, starving to death or destroyed by insects, but those lucky few who locate an intelligent, sleeping creature will drill their way into an ear or nostril and settle in the brain, living as a parasite until the monstrous turtle requires fresh blood. Seizing control of the host's mind, the worm brings its enslaved victim back to the hungry jaws of its creator...

ART STUFF:

This one is based on a small sketch sent to me years ago by possessedtim and named on a suggestion by SCORN THE TERRIBLE who has done voices for the Fear Hole. I don't usually use other people's ideas anymore, but there was no better way to do a vampire turtle. This will be the last of the leech-making monsters; one more, and they'd stop being cool.
