Um, and some even more topics: what stuff frightens YOU? Top 5-10 list of the best minor background monsters of the Neverending Story and its sequels (not counting main guys like Falcor or the Wolf, seriously some of those background or trivial minion guys are just damn WEIRD AS HELL, more imaginative and scary and crazy than any Star Wars aliens, but you never see THEM getting auctioned off for hundreds of bucks on ebay now DO YOU??)

An analysis/comparison of Corpse Bride/Coraline/Paranorman and other creepy stopmotion movies, creepy circus music or classically dark merry-go-round-tunes that set the perfect Halloween atmosphere (like the now absent Coney Island Carousel of my youth...) Shelob from LOTR and her various artistic interpretations. Smeagol/Gollum's many artistic interpretations.

A whole article about Hideshi Hino. Frank Frazetta's monsters.

TALES FROM THE MUTHAFUCKING CRYPT yo, both the TV show on HBO/kid's remake, and the original Golden Age horror comics...:P

Best scariest/awesome monster artwork music album covers. Or nostalgic ones that captured your imagination growing up.

The Mutter Museum.

The most famous haunted houses.

Exorcisms.

The graphic novel SALEM BROWNSTONE (if you've never heard of it, check it out. It has carnival freaks, odd magik, mind controlling anthromorphic soul eating blood-sacrficing FLIES, very abstract and simplistically designed and yet thus even more so genuinely creepy Eldritch Evil beings, MELTING FACES, one-eyed taxi cab lady assassins, gas-mask riding motorcycle babes...the list just goes on and on. You'd definitely love this book, and it needs way more love. You can see glimpses of it here: [link] The artist here has altered his/her?? voice and is also genuinely creepy.

Suggestions for topics: Plague Doctors, the history of black cats as witch familiars, creepy abandoned amusement parks (such as Six Flags over New Orleans), Beetlejuice the movie/tv show, Bump in the Night!, Green Jello music videos, CVS/Hallmark's 'Pet Ghosts' jar toys (biggest most cleverest ripoff I have ever seen by far...) Gris Grimly, Edward Gorey, Brom, Rob Zombie's career/classic horror movie obsession/animation projects, evil wallpaper, THE VERY BEST OF R.L STINE'S "GOOSEBUMPS" AND "FEAR STREET" COVERS...(seriously, those things kicked ASS and terrified the shit out of me growing up as a kid. If any one of these topics needs a home on your site, it is this one!) and/or the best creatures/storylines from the tv show Goosebumps/Are you afraid of the dark?/Eerie Indiana...IE in case you never knew of it growing up, as most people I mention of it to don't, was an under-appreciated cult show on FOX Kids that followed the trend and time slot of Goosebumps. Only it had the same protagonists in every tale, and it was commonly just 'off' or 'Uncanny Valley' feeling than downright supernaturally terrifying...it was almost like Twilight Zone for the kiddys, more than Tales from the Crypt. In a way though, Eerie Indiana sometimes scared/bothered me WORSE than Goosebumps because of this 'realism', or at least semi-realism, and it had (by kid show's standards) much better acting generally than the other two. It didn't have as long a run though for whatever reasons and I guess that is why nobody mentions it anymore.

I wish I wasn't such a scaredy-cat as a kid, I stayed home most Halloweens. This year I'm dressing as Masky and my almost-7-foot-tall friend is dressing as The Slender Man.
