UPDAET: about seven different people have submitted so far, which isn't near enough with only four days left to go :|

So, I'm gonna wait and put the gallery up November 2, (Day of the Dead!) E-mail me your arts or post it here by then!

Every year on my website, I blog about my favorite Halloween finds - nearly all of which are toys and decorations featuring nameless, generic monsters. A few of my all-time favorite examples:

What I want you to do is scroll through all these old pages (you can do it! There aren't that many!) until one of these generic, oddball characters demand you illustrate them. Interpret them however you want, whatever style you have access to and send in as many different entries as you want. If you have any generic Halloween trinkets of your own, feel free to illustrate one of those instead, and try to send me a photo of the real thing to include with your entry!

Send your entry to bogleech@hotmail.com or post it here by NOVEMBER 2!!

I'm cutting it close, as usual. I'll have access to a scanner about 10 hours from now, so you should get my entry then.

I'm doing the green caterpillar with the one big eye and the one little eye, by the way. I'd appreciate it if no one else did that, but don't let me stop you if you have a great idea for it.

Someone did the pink version as part of a group, but don't let that stop YOU! Yours always turn out beautiful!

I wouldn't worry about it, I'll enjoy multiple interpretations of the same things and a lot of people are inserting more than one into a single illustration, one has like a dozen different monsters :p

Whatever you like most!
