So a company called backbone entertainment is releasing a game for the wii entitled "Monster Lab," the marketing phrase for which is "pokemon meets Tim Burton."

The plot? You're an apprentice mad scientist who must gather body parts from your dark, creepy land to construct monsters which you pit in tournaments against those of other mad scientists.

That is word-for-word the same premise as Mortasheen, my main project since 2003. Ugh.

To me it always seemed like a logical concept, so I'm not surprised I was beaten...but I wonder what to do with my game concept. I was starting to take seriously the notion of making something concrete and taking the idea to a few fledgling publishers. Now, they might reject it purely on the basis that it's being done.
