They're not meant to come off as a parody of the Scooby Doo gang, but as yet another Hanna Barbera sister series that would have existed alongside them. There were at least half a dozen. Jabberjaw, Captain Caveman, Funky Phantom, Goober and the Ghost Chasers, Speed Buggy, Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space, Clue Club...
Scooby-Doo was a bad thing. It was trying to convince us that monsters weren't real! Nice going in trying to stifle the imaginations of a generation, Misters Hanna and Barbera (RIP to both of you, cuz I like Wacky Races).
One of the Scooby Doo movies went like this. The blonde sissy guy tried to pull off a zombie's mask, only he pulled its head off, because it was really a zombie.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
