Hanivra (ray vampire) - this vampire paralyzes its prey with an electrical discharge that can strike up to six feet away. Though it prefers prey alive, it will utilize its cartilaginous "saw" on both stubborn victims and more powerful attackers. Of all the amphibious sea-vampires, only the Hanivra can adapt to a total lack of moisture, and has been encountered even in desert valleys where it "swims" just beneath the sand's surface.
Makkoron (shark vampire) - the brutal Makkoron is a vampire just as likely to tear prey limb from limb as it is to stealthily parasitize a sleeper. Intelligent and fiercely territorial, other vampires give it a wide berth and lesser piscoid forms have even been observed in subservience to one of these cunning killers. Their skin is much rougher than that of a natural shark, with elongated microbarbs arranged in velcro-like patterns to rip open softer flesh at the slightest touch. Seaweed and other detritus collects on their bodies, adding camoflage to their already-devious hunting strategies.
Fuguketsu (blowfish vampire) - with its fused, serrated teeth, the fuuguketsu is more a "chewing" than a "sucking" vampire. By inflating its body with concentrated gasses, it becomes as light as a feather and traverses land in a slow-motion bounding. Only when ready to strike does it deflate and become a denser, more agile predator. Unlike normal blowfish, it is capable of secreting its natural poison through its hollow, bony needles, and utilizes tiny doses to induce prolonged comas in preferred hosts.
Gill-devil (bony fish vampire) - a blanket name for the vampiric mutation of such common bony fish as tuna, bass, piranha, and goldfish. Gill-devils vary wildly in coloration and proportion but generally follow the same body plan. Though they lack any outstanding natural abilities, they are almost universally equipped with thin, retractible spines on their limb joints, and a large, synchronized "school" can be even more dangerous than a lone Makkoron.
Nettler (stinging fish vampire) - a blanket name for vampiric mutations of certain venomous fish in the Scorpaeninae family, including lionfish, scorpionfish and stonefish. Every claw, spur and hair-like projection on a Nettler's body carries with it an agonizing, burning sting, but the back spurs are frequently outright lethal. Its striking color patterns and luminous white eyes make it one of the most beautiful of the vampiric fish, but it dislikes being seen even by allies.
Equinoct (seahorse vampire) - the smallest of marine vampiric vertebrates, often less than two feet from head to tail. These pure-white, skeletal-looking mutants float eerily through air or water moving only their eyes, which dart constantly in opposite directions. They feed indirectly, producing tiny "clones" within their basket-like bodies to send hunting. When a feeding-clone returns, engorged on blood, it is sucked into the Equinoct's tubular mouth for digestion. Away from the ocean, they prefer to lurk in treetops, clutching branches with their flexible tails.
Amazing, just amazing! They're all delightfully demented but...that vimpire pufferfish is the best!

Okay, I love ALL of these, though being a marine bio freak doesn't help. Nettler is my favorite amongst this batch, but it's followed closely by Equinoct.

I'm a Spawn Cyclic-AdenosineMonoPhosphate-er with a Steyr Methionine-codon. Where has YOUR inner molecular biology been? Surely not out shooting terrorists.
I really love your Necromon designs. What're you doing with them? I'm not sure what your ultimate goal is... it kind of seems like a rather distorted personal pokemon collection, lol.
Seriously talking though, could I make a 3d model of any of them? I'm going to try to improve my 3d skills, and you've got so many fascinating designs. It'd take a while before I got to it, but I was just wondering if the possibility is open.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
