"Power Eater"

CLASS: UNKNOWN

A nonliving, nonsentient structure that grew from a meteorite, this inanimate "monster" forever obeys the whims of the first sentient being it comes into contact with. Though immobile, its tentacular "arms" can extend hundreds of feet, draining heat, electricity or radiation from anything they come into contact with. It can store a tremendous amount of power in its armored core, and "vents" excess energy as highly destructive beams.

Anything striking the surface of the Ziafel produces a distinct echo, regardless of surroundings. Its tubes twitch in the presence of an energy source.

ART STUFF:

Third and final of the killer meteors. This one was inspired by the Ultraman monster "Bullton," but came out looking like a simultaneous ripoff of an R-Type boss. Ah well...it's not quite severe enough to worry me.

They look vaguely like Gomander/Cyst's tubes by themselves, but lack the additional dodgy orifices, glowing blue eye, and segmented worms. There's really nothing to worry about here. I honestly wouldn't have even thought of R-Type while looking at this had you not mentioned it. The first thought that came to mind was barnacles.

I really, really like the concept of this (all of the mineral monsters, actually, but I love this one most of all thanks to LAZ0RZ), and I'd love to have one on my team if I weren't already at a premium for trimming out members...

Oh. The last one looked more like Bullton to me than this one does. Oh well... still awesome.
