Mortasheen - Wharvle

The fusion of a human with a botfly. Though sluggish, shy, clumsy and lacking a mouth opening, the female Wharvle is not to be underestimated, as she carries with her a constant supply of blood-sucking clone-spawn to lob at potential prey. Gorging themselves on bodily fluids, the surprisingly fast-moving creatures will return to their mother, penetrate her belly and inject their meal directly into her digestive system, withering and dying moments later. Copulation with a male will produce more viable offspring, capable of maturing into adult Wharvle with a steady supply of prey.

This new and improved bot-fly Mortasheen incorporates their real world biology a little better; many botfly larvae are bloodsuckers rather than flesh eaters, and adults really do lack mouthparts. The new name comes from "warble" and "woove," alternate dialect in the farming community for botfly larvae in the skin of livestock.
