CLASS: ZOMBIE SPAWN
A hybrid zombie mutation that gradually split from the Zombster, Krabhorrent grow only a third the size of their cousins and have a somewhat higher percentage of fully-living tissue, making them more stable but slightly more vulnerable than most other zombie offshoots. Able to smell sickness and rot from miles away, Krabhorrent home in on the dead or dying in a slow but determined spiral pattern, able to move only sideways but seemingly incapable of turning away from a source of food. Like all zombies, these monsters "reproduce" when their genetic matter invades a suitable humanoid host. Six to twelve weeks into normal zombification, the head rolls away and transforms into a juvenile Krabhorrent. The rest of the body withers and dies completely, unusual for any form of zombie. ------ ART STUFF: This was going to be a bioconstruct, but I felt like I had to justify the humanoid head aspect, and then it was already too similar to Zombster. This is not the start of a trend, zombie-beasts will remain extremely scarce. |
