"Stinging Vampire"
CLASS: VAMPIRIC
This common invertebrate vampire is adept at both swimming and flying, but spends most of its time crawling on its lower tentacles or anchored in place upside-down. Its two sturdy "arms," tipped with simplistic eyes, are lined with stinging cells that can paralyze even the largest prey animal. Blood is drained by its tooth-lined stomach, which can extend from the hollow body on a flexible neck.

When I decided to re-draw this one, I didn't even look at the original. I just drew it how I pictured it, and didn't even think this was that big of a change. Now that I look at the old one, I can't believe I even thought it was acceptable:

I'm loving the segmented, eye-adorned "arms"! I kinda liked the old Hemodusa, though-- there's nothing wrong with looking a little wimpy, so long as you're wimpy, weird and wonderful.
