"Wormhead"
CLASS: BICONSTRUCT This highly unconventional monster is technically a colony of monsters that exist only in close partneship. The mollusk-like carrier lacks a brain, but a tangled ball of worm-like parasites reside in the cranium and dictate the colony's actions. What appear to be pulsing, colorful eyes are actually a pair of highly modified breeding worms, which can stretch to impressive lengths and inject hundreds of eggs into another living being. Infested victims ultimately become one with the colony's mind, increasing its size and power. Reproduction is performed by fission, with worms and slaves evenly divided between the two new carriers - odd numbers are devoured. An Eyezome's shell is employed both as a crude leg and a powerful weapon, able to twirl and jab with impressive force on a short, muscular stalk. The rest of its body is supported mostly by sacs of gas, and can collapse to fit completely within the relatively tiny shell. Though omnivorous, they generally prefer fruits and vegetables over meat. ------STUFF------ I had to have a monster based on this [link] sooner or later, it's practically the mascot of my website and my single favorite zoological phenomenon. I could never think of a design I really liked, though, until I started drawing a mutant snail concept for those action figure ideas. Halfway through I realized it was better off a Mortasheen |

When you're giving love away,
Love will come again to stay.
What you give is what you gain
When you pass it on.
