More of Tim's necromon

Description

Another batch of necromon invented by ~possessedtim. This time, I followed the sketches he sent me almost exact, except for the third monster which he only gave me a description for, and the fifth which I drew without looking at the sketch and it came out quite a bit different.

Necrovore: with its waddling gait and vacant expression, this large reptiloid is easily underestimated. Several hundred pounds of mostly bone and muscle, it can easily crash through walls or tear apart armor. Its specialty, however, is preying upon zombies; particularly human zombies. For unknown reasons, it seems literally invisible to the shambling undead...except for the tempting carrion (regurgitated remains of former prey) it collects on its back.

Intestina (I actually kinda like this name, Tim) : created as a tireless and lethal undead "nanny", the intestina is a gruesome but caring guardian of children that many necromancers grew up with, and generally frown upon their use as warriors. Nonetheless, the Intestina can be valuable on the battlefield for its ability to heal comrades with the fluids it drains from an opponent. Oddly, it is unable to use this helpful talent on itself, but is capable of healing another of its kind.

Hirudosaur: the first Hirudosaur was created as a moat guardian for the fortress of a wealthy vampiric dictator. This sparked the now infamous 66th-century "moat monster fad", where everybody who was anybody had their own moat and unique, personalized moat-dweller. Of all the designs to spawn from this trend, the original is the only one still in mainstream use. Hirudosaurs are barely mobile on land, but generally don't need to be...their hollow shells are filled with large, symbiotic leeches that slither on land just as fast as they can swim. Hirudosaurs even have the power to command normal, natural leeches and other parasitic worms, making them esspecially dangerous in the wild.

Grimspawn: little more than a giant womb, this revolting beast has the power to create and control replicas of anything dead within the radius of a mile. These mindless clones live only a few hours before collapsing and disintegrating, but if their "mother" is slain, they go berserk for the remainder of their existence...becoming a danger to enemy and ally alike.

Grender: this vicious predator bears what appears to be a vestigial, parasitic body hanging from its lower jaw, but is in actuality a strange and highly effective "lure" housing psionic glands that cloud the judgement of others. This causes most intended prey to see the Grender as some far weaker, even completely harmless creature. As soon as their guard is down, the Grender springs forth and attacks. Being little more than a set of jaws, prey is digested in the mouth itself; much like a carnivorous plant.

Immorioth: these weird, mummified creatures once served as animate idols in the religious practices of a savage, cannibalistic cult. Young members who failed some mysterious rite of passage believed they could atone for their error by becoming their diety's next meal...and it was through the jaws of an Immoriath that this diety was said to feed. While their disturbing beliefs are no longer practiced, the creation of Immorioth continues to this day - though only amongst those few skilled enough to command them. Though physically frail, they are brimming with enough psionic energy to produce an audible "sizzling" in the air around them.
